St Joseph Province, Kottayam established with temporary centre at Mannanam
1956
Kottayam Provincial House shifted to Kottayam
1968
Kottayam Provincial House shifted from Kottayam to Puthuppally
1969
Calicut Region elevated to St Thomas Vice-Province, Kozhikode
1972
Jagdalpur Mission territory entrusted to the Province
1972
Fr Paulinus Jeerakath CMI appointed the Exarch of Jagdalpur
1975
Peru Mission started
1979
Kottayam St Joseph Province was bifurcated and St Joseph Province, Trivandrum and Nirmal Vice Province, Jagdalpur were erected
1985
Two Districts of Rajkot (Amreli & Bhavnagar) earmarked for Kottayam Province
1987
Junagadh earmarked for Kottayam Province
1990
Kottayam Provincial House shifted from Puthuppally to Kottayam

Papua New Guinea Mission started

Bangalore Mission of the province started
